Wavelet shawl

Een van mijn allereerste ontwerpen is dit.

Toen ik vorige week het patroon een keer ging herlezen, schrok ik behoorlijk.

O jee, het was echt 'oude koek' :)

This shawl is one of my first designs.

Last week, I decided to read the pattern again. (I made it 2-3 years ago I think)

And o dear, I got scared :) I did not like it at all.

Ik besloot het te herwerken, helemaal opnieuw, zodat het patroon er ging uitzien zoals mijn huidige patronen.

Ik ging dus aan de slag, en koos een mooi garen met kleurverloop, Scheepjeswol Invicta Colour.

I decided to rewrite the pattern completely, so it would be similar in lay-out and appearance as my new designs. I have made a lot of progress in writing patterns since that time :)

I picked out a lovely yarn, Scheepjeswol Invicta Colour, and started working on it.

Heerlijk haken was het.

Het patroon herwerken ging vlot, het ziet er nu zoveel beter uit!

I enjoyed crocheting this shawl.

The rewriting went very well, and I am happy with the result!

En weet je wat? Arno, mijn incognito tienerzoon (je ziet hem haast nooit op foto's, omdat hij op zijn privacy gesteld is), die maakte alweer de haakschema's voor dit patroon.

Die stoere zoon van mij is een wonder in haakschema's maken met een software-pakket. (hij maakte trouwens ook alle haakschema's voor mijn boek!!!)

And my incognito teenager son, Arno (you almost never see him on pictures, because he likes to be a bit incognito :) ), he made the charts for this pattern.

My son is a miracle in chart-making with my chart-software. (in fact, he made all the charts for my book as well!!!)

Het ontwerp zit nu in testing, en weldra helemaal beschikbaar!!!

Foto's maakte ik met plezier, want onder de kerstboom (eerder naast de boom, want het was een GROOT pakket), kreeg ik een paspop!!!!!!!! Dus foto's maken wordt nu nog leuker!

The shawl is being tested as we speak, and will soon be available. 

Making pictures was also a pleasure, because one of my Christmas presents was a mannequin doll (paspop?) !!! So it is so much more fun to make pictures now!
