Cherry-time and a little present - Kersentijd en een kadootje

Kersentijd!!! En wie me al een tijdje volgt, weet wel dat mijn schoonouders in Limburg best wel wat kersenboompjes in hun grote tuin hebben! (en voordat ze op pensioen gingen, zelfs een hele plantage).

Vorige zondag ging manlief er met de zonen heen, ik bleef thuis. Om een dagje te werken (dat schiet er namelijk met de schoolvakantie en beide zonen thuis, behoorlijk in :) ) Mijn teksten voor het boek afwerken.

Cherry-time!!! If you are reading my blog already for some time, you probably know my parents-in-law have quite a lot cherry trees in their large garden! (and before their retirement they had a whole cherry plantation)

So last Sunday my dear husband took the boys with him for a day and went to Limburg with them. I had to stay at home, to have 'a working day'. (we have 9 weeks of Summer Holiday here, and with the 2 boys at home all day long, there is not so much time to work :) ) And I had to finish my texts for my upcoming book.

Ze kwamen thuis met veel lekkere kersen, recht van de boom!!! Mmmmmm....

En die zijn al allemaal op : zo opgegeten en we maakten ook kilo's confituur. Ongelofelijk heerlijk! (wij eten alleen zelfgemaakte confituur : kersen, aardbeien, kweeperen, ...)

En de mannen namen ook een kadootje mee voor schoonmama : een mooie sjaal, gehaakt in Malabrigo Sock Yarn (die kocht ik een tijd geleden bij HouseOfYarn). De sjaal heeft een simpel ontwerpje, maar is afgewerkt met kraaltjes onderaan.

En zien jullie er ook niet de kersenkleurtjes in?

They came home with lots of cherries, straight from the tree!!! Mmmmmm....

And by today, they are all finished : we have eaten lots of them and made great homemade jelly with the rest of them. Incredibly delicious! (we only eat homemade jelly here : from cherries, strawberries, quince, ....)

And the men also took a present with them for my mother-in-law : een lovely scarf, crocheted in Malabrigo Sock Yarn (I bought it some time ago at HouseOfYarn). The scarf has a simple design, but I finished it with some beads at the both ends.

And I noticed the cherry colours in the scarf, don't you?
